I know Ive posted a lot of dog updates, & Im not one to usually go crazy on medical or super-personal posts. But this is a great chapter end (because the rest is happily unwritten!) The vet surgeon called today w/Pikes biopsy results (the tumor, plus 3 spots of his liver they found, and a big lymph node when they operated). Originally, they said, were cautiously optimistic, but prepare for chemo & to just keep him comfortable for a year until its his time. My motto right now, in so, so, so many different things: walk by faith, not by sight. I just KNEW. I KNEW Pike was going to be okay & prayed to have the best outcome for him (again, either with us, or with God). The vet was a little baffled today - he said, Demi, we see this in 1 in 2500 cases - all the biopsies were benign, and he has a clean bill of health for a 12-year old dog. I cant believe how quickly hes recovering at home. Its kind of a miracle...the kind doctors like to be surprised by. Pike made my day. When I came home, I swear Pike was smiling on our landing. Its like he was saying, well DUH, you tell everybody not to give up & to get after it. Me too, Im a Clark! Thanks be to God. Walk in faith!
