I know it is LONG, but PLEASE READ AND COMMENT........Impact Church of Columbus MAKES impact!!! Well…..let’s start by saying that I made one of the worst mistakes I have ever made in my life!! I wrote an e-mail and made a phone call to my cousin, who was the neighbor of the pastor that married my husband and I, to get my mother-in-law in contact with Matt Ramey. You see, we live on over 3 ½ acres of land that has a total of 5 buildings on it. Our house is the main one, there is a mother-in-law suite that has been occupied for almost 10 years by the same man, a church that my husband’s grandfather built and preached at up until he no longer could due to illness, and two storage buildings. The house we live in was my husband’s grand parents’ home since BEFORE he was born and he grew up here. After grandpa’s passing the church went downhill and even set empty for months. Grandma moved in with her daughter and a few years later we moved in, but everything is still in grandma’s name. Grandma is the sole owner of the land and all the buildings. However none of the family liked seeing the church not being used and that is what brings us back to the present issue. Matt Ramey of Impact Church of Columbus was put in contact, THROUGH ME, to Sarah and Jean, my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law, in attempt of renting the church. As of the 1st of October 2013 they signed a lease. They, Matt Ramey and the people of Impact Church of Columbus, started working on the church, which did need some TLC, on September 27, 2013 before the lease was even in affect. On that day my husband and I had a conversation with Matt’s wife, Justin, Matt’s right hand man, and his wife. I told them THEN that the smaller storage unit was ours and off limits. All 3 of them looked at the unit and said “Okay, no problem.”. THEN on September 30th we noticed that the storage building that has had our things in it for over a year was rummaged through AND ALL of our things had been THOWN into the right 1/3 of the building. We informed my mother-in-law and she said that she would AGAIN tell Matt that was OUR storage and they were to STAY OUT of it. My husband, A.J., wrote on the big door “Keep OUT”. On October 2nd I came home around 10:30 A.M. after taking A.J. to work to find a roaring fire out back the church with not a sole around and of course they claim it was OUT when they left. BUT it was not ambers; it was at least a foot high ROARING fire FLAME!! Not to mention that they do NOT have a fire pit it was just in the grass a few feet away from their storage unit. Then I noticed that the “Keep OUT” sign was upside down. When I opened OUR unit I discovered that OUR unit was FULL, including ON OUR stuff, with the old installation from the church that they replaced. It was COVERED in animal waste and was ALL OVER OUR stuff!!! Again we called my mother-in-law and told her. Upon farther inspection we realized that a few things of OURS was in the yard, example: a pocket knife AND in the fire that they left burning for over 12 hours was things that belonged to A.J. SO…..they moved our things inside our unit, went through our things, took what they wanted, deemed our WOOD FUNITURE nothing more than trash and put animal waste on top of it, AND decided that our items were nothing more than fire wood!!! ........that is NOT even the whole story!!!
