I know of a lot of these kids and so do you. Some have fought hard. Some are lost and given up hope. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Children dont have a choice where they live or how they get to that place. Imagine if every American was found guilty for the rest of their lives for something their parents did? A few years ago I had a soccer player that was an illegal immigrant brought here at a young age and wanted to pursue his education as well as his playing career in college. His grades were decent as well as his attendance and never had a discipline problem in High School. He GRADUATED and could speak fluent English. He was told by more then one lawyer to go back to Mexico and apply for an F1 Visa so he could return to continue his education. If you know the law or what the law states, this is not verbatim by any means. If you are 18 and caught in the United States you will be banned for 10 years. He did the right thing according to the law and flew back to Mexico by himself. Some parents are scared to send there kids off to college. He was denied TWICE in 18 months to re enter the United States to pursue his education. Why? Because he was honest and said he had family in the United States as well as Mexico!!!! How do these kids stand a chance? I can put a name and a face to this situation. There were good people, NO great people that helped pay for lawyers and counseling to figure out the best solution. In the end that same young man is living here today, married and has a beautiful young girl. He was my player, he is my friend and he is here to stay!!!! Who won and who lost this battle?????
