I know so many of you are praying for my family right now and I appreciate you more than ever! Some know and some may wonder what specifics are. Some of you know the battle that our family has been experiencing with this ugly cancer, both mom and stepdad. Chucks battle has been long and very hard. Trial after trial, surgery after surgery. All in the name of love. Love for the soulmate he found in my mother. Love for the grandchildren he calls his own. Love for his son. Love for the life that God has given him with his family. The trials are over. Life as we all know it is in the almighty hands of our maker. We must have and keep faith that He has His own plan for all of us. Sometimes we dont understand what the specific path is for or why, but we must remain in trust. Trust that He loves us and will prevail over all. Weve been in prayer over my parents for a long time but this week we received not so great news, so needless to say the Lord is hearing our cries even louder. Tonight we were hit with an even heavier outcry. My parents were hit by a drunk driver. No one knew anything and we waited anxiously by the phone, GPS routed out, babysitter lined up, bags ready to be packed. They were both hurt but the Lord continued protecting them. Mom has a broken knee and some airbag burns. Chuck had some internal pains by the scans came back and there were no new injuries. The prayers came pouring out from everywhere, the Lord heard the cries for our family and mom and chuck are now on their way home, banged up, but okay. We would still appreciate strength and comfort prayers for my parents and family as the next few months come upon us. I would also like to ask for extra prayers for my grandma and great grandma. Great grandma fell and we think she may be having strokes. She is finally admitted to the hospital and being observed. We will know more in the morning. Prayers for grandma as she is the only one up there with her now and needs strength. Even though our family may be weak in some areas, one thing is for sure, when push comes to shove, we buckle down hard together! Stand strong family and be there for one another, even when it doesnt seem like its convenient for you. Be there for one another, even on the good days. We need to quit picking and choosing and get back to the basics. Get back on track. Our monarchs are tired, few and not as strong anymore. Remember family dinners? Oh boy! I sure do!! Big family holidays? Wow, what a great time we had. And the excitement we would feel. Ooohh cant wait to get to grandmas!! Its going to take the youth of our family to build this empire back up!!! What are we teaching them about family? What arent we teaching them? I love you all and value every one of you!
