I know that a couple people will probably have a negative comment or two, but Im so excited about the news we got after surgery, I refuse to hold it in! A lot of you have asked about this, so I figured Id share! For the last 6-8 months, Mitch and I have been really talking about conception, mainly the lack there of, we were wondering why it hadnt happened. No, we were not trying and definitely not preventing. We decided to just let our lives plan itself, because I dont agree with birth control.. my belief, not anyone elses. So, when we went to the ER on 3/13, they told me there was a large cyst blocking my ovarian pathways, which was causing problems with conception. I freaked out and read up on everything I possibly could, it made me freak out worse! Every doctor I seen had a different outlook on if I would be able to conceive a child or not. Obviously, Mitch and I were both equally worried that our chances would be slim to none, especially after taking out my ovary. But, after surgery Mitch came into my room and just smiled at me, bigger than Ive ever seen him before, and told me the news! My doctor was able to remove the tumor, the ovary and the fallopian tube without leaving too much scar tissue. He explained that the normal percentage rate of conception is 80%, I still have a 78% of conceiving and properly carrying a child. While Ive been laying on my couch recovering, thats all I can think about. God is good! I feel so blessed.. and, I just think to myself, everything Im going through now is for our child or children in the future. Im so happy that God has still given us the chance to become parents. Its an awful feeling to think thats being taken away from you, but amazing to hear the opposite! I absolutely, without any doubt, can say my Faith in God has been restored, stronger than ever.
