I know that most of us watch UAAP Basketball/Volleyball, but I hope that we support the other sports as well. Dont get me wrong, I am an avid fan of the Green Archers and the Lady Spikers and really admire the hard work they put into representing our institution, but I just really feel for the other student athletes, who train just as hard, yet do not get the same recognition. Sinusuportahan na lang sila kapag nananalo na or kapag naiuwi na nila ang trophy. I had a friend who played for the womens football team, and when I watched one of their important games, there was hardly anyone around (mostly parents and family members). I mean, these girls were playing their hearts out for the name on the front of their jerseys, for their fellow students, but only a handful of supporters were present. If it had been a basketball game, on the other hand, it wouldve been a totally different story. Hindi rin naman natin masisisi ang basketball/volleyball teams kasi siyempre hinahype up talaga ang sports nila at marami talaga ang mga nagmamahal dito. I just wanted to take the time out to tell ALL the student athletes of our school that they are doing a SPECTACULAR job in representing the green and white; their hard work is very much appreciated.
