I know this is going to sound like a movie plot or something but - TopicsExpress

I know this is going to sound like a movie plot or something but this just really happened to me. i was on my way home from my parents house (where I had gone for dinner), driving down a road that I am very familiar with. The area is Suburban, a few houses and lots of trees; it is also not well lit at night. I had just passed thru a light and was going a few miles over the speed limit, with a little hondo civic right on my tail. Out of the corner of my eye, coming from the right, I saw a family of deer about to cross the road. I swerved to the left and up onto someones front lawn (damage free and safe). It was then that I heard the crash of the little Civic behind me. It smashed into two large deer and flipped over. I immediately called 911 and ran to the car (nobody else was around as of yet). I saw a man in his mid-30s climbing out of the passenger seat of what was left of his car. As soon as he stood up I saw that he was impaled with some type of metal right thru his stomach. He immediately fell, unconscious. I took off my sweatshirt, putting pressure around the metal, made sure he had a pulse and was breathing, and waited for the EMT to arrive. They finally did and asked me what I knew. I told them how his car flipped, that his breathing was shallow and pulse somewhere around 50 from what I could tell, and that I did not pull out the piece of metal for fear of further damage. The EMT that night said well my darling, boy did god put you here for a purpose, you are this mans guardian angel, you quite possible saved his life. and they took him away to the ambulance. Police took my statement of course, and i was able to wash the blood off my hands and arms. And then drove my car off these peoples lawns and home..... First of all, that could have easily been me, but it wasnt. Secondly, the notion of guardian angel (well those who know me and what im going thru right now and my spirituality) I guess god doesnt always give us subtle hints, this one hit me right in the face. To everyone: remember life is a gift and can be taken away in the blink of an eye. God put you here for a purpose, even if you dont know what that is or dont believe in yourself. Third, have faith. What a crazy, scary, intense experience. #gratefultobealive #blessed #faith #youhavepurpose
