I laced up for my last time today am I mean full uniform. It made me think of the first time I laced up my boots. I was so scared. I didnt know what my future held for me. I didnt know that the next 4 years would be the best and worst times of my life. What I did know was I was giving up my life and a lot of choices and birthdays and holidays seeing my family for something so much bigger than me. In 1 week I will be a full time civilian. I wont have to report to anyone I wont have to have my phone next to me in case I got called in. I wont have to miss things I dont want to. And Im scared. Again Im at a point where I dont know what my future holds. I served my country and for that I am proud.
