I learned something fascinating and terrifying in my bible study - TopicsExpress

I learned something fascinating and terrifying in my bible study this morning! Ive been studying prophecy for the last few months, and check this out...we all know about the battle of Armegeddon right? Did you know there are 7 wars prophesied to take place beforehand? I did not. One is on the horizon. It is detailed in Psalm 83 and is a war to exterminate Israel by her immediate neighbors. Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Gaza, Lebanon, and Egypt. Israel will be victorious. Two is the Gog-Magog war of Ezekial 38-39 where Russia and her allies try to come against Israel. This war is a biggie for prophecy buffs because it is the occasion in which God himself intervenes to save Israel. Russias allies are Muslim nations; Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Lybia, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Gomer. Gomer is the modern day area of Poland, Germany, and Czechoslovakia. Three is the conventional war of Revelation 6 where the antichrist begins conquering and kills 1/4 of the world. (4horseman of apocalypse) Four is the nuclear war of Revelation 8-9 that results from the latter conflict. Another 1/3 of worlds population will be killed, and 1/3 of the world is burnt up. People get rumors and grievous sores on thir bodies. Radiation sickness??? Five is the war in the heavens of Revelation 12. Satan attempts a siege on heaven. The Arc Angel Michael and the angels defeat him. Satan loses access to heaven. In Satans rage, at this point, he possesses the antichrist and indwells him fully. Six is the war against Jews and saints of Daniel 9. This is at the 1/2 way point of Daniels 70th week or The Time of Jacobs Trouble. This is When the Great Tribulation begins. The bible is clear that it is 3 1/2yrs or 42 months, the last 1/2 of the seven yrs. this will be the worst time in human history, 2 out of 3 Jews will be slaughtered. Jews will flee Israel, possibly to ancient Petra because God will protect the area of Jordan according to scripture. Seven is the Middle East campaigne of the Antichrist from Daniel 11. It is late in the tribulation. The king of the north (possibly Syria), and the king of the south (possibly Egypt), rebel against Antichrist. The Antichrist hears rumors from the east and north that cause him to retreat to the valley of Jezreel, or the valley of Armageddon. As both armies gather to do battle, the skies open and Jesus returns with the saints from the rapture.Eight is not an actual war. THERE IS NO BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON. Jesus speaks a plague and the armies dissolve where they stand. In fact the bible says the blood will be bridle deep on the horses for 200 miles!! Then we get a 1000 yr reign of Jesus Christ on earth in the millennium. An awesome time where all of Satan and his evil will be bound. However, man will still be capable of sin and rebellion. Jesus will rule the millennium with a rod of iron. Laws will be perfect in righteousness, and punishment swift for sin. Which will ultimately lead to a last war between Satan and men against God. God will squash the uprising, throw everyone involved into the lake of fire, and then burn up the old heavens and earth. He will then create new ones, give those people left immortal bodies, and live among us from that point on. Im starting to realize that no wonder salvation is a completely free gift, because its just the beginning, not the end. God has many provisions that will sort the tares from the wheat. The rebels from the faithful. The wise brides from the foolish ones. I never understood broad is the way to destruction but narrow is the path to everlasting life until today. It always confused me because we are all taught to believe and you are saved. The two concepts seemed contradictory. I understand now, The first round(the rapture) is the easiest, it gets more complicated from there. Most will follow Satan again, even in the millennium!! Hope u found this as interesting as I did. God bless
