B.O cant possibly expect to get away with his diabolical plan when it is obvious he strategized the crisis for this reason. Faced with an onslaught of illegals – specifically unaccompanied minors – flooding across America’s southern border, lawmakers across the nation are joining together to put an end to the policies that have sparked the unsustainable influx. Citing Obama’s stated goal of providing a safe haven for illegal kids in America and the widespread assertion in many South American nations that any child who crosses the border will be welcomed into our society, 33 Republican lawmakers put their name at the bottom of a letter to the White House. The GOP congressmen assert that the first step in stemming the tide of illegals is to dismantle the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program backed by the Obama administration. “As the country faces an unprecedented surge in the arrival of unaccompanied alien children (UACs) at our southwestern border,” the letter states, “we call on you to immediately end the failed policies that encourage young individuals to put themselves in peril, leave their home countries, and make a long and dangerous journey to enter our country illegally.” The letter also calls out Obama for his stated intention to “circumvent Congress, ignore immigration law, and act outside the scope of Executive powers to implement your desired immigration practices.” As a result, the Republicans asserted, those tasked with protecting the border, along with the many communities affected by the influx, “are overwhelmed by a crisis that must be addressed immediately.” In addition to ending DACA, the letter demands that Obama “make an explicit public commitment that you will not support legislation that extends legal status to newly arriving illegal aliens no matter the age.” These steps are necessary, the legislators wrote, to counter a “perception of eventual legal status” that thousands of illegals have upon approaching the border. The letter concludes that, as Obama has delayed a Homeland Security review of the nation’s deportation policy until the end of summer, he is set to act unilaterally at that time. “Your continued commitment to circumvent Congress and implement policies contrary to the intent of immigration law sends foreign nationals the false hope that administrative amnesty is possible,” the lawmakers contended. “By refusing to disclose the nature of the DHS review and the scope of policy considerations, your Administration has encouraged UACs to enter the United States sooner rather than later, and we ask that you immediately clarify the intent of this review and ensure that no special treatment for any illegal alien, including UACs, will be attempted through the DHS review.” To determine if your representative supports this cause, refer to the following list of Republicans who signed the letter: Darrell Issa; Pete Sessions; Same Graves; Lamar Smith; Blake Farenthold; Gus Bilirakis; Marsha Blackburn; Tom McClintock; John Duncan; Tom Cotton; Jim Bridenstine; Alan Nunnelee; Gregg Harper; Doug LaMalia; Paul Gosar; Lynn Jenkins; Vicky Hartzler; Tom Cole; Marwayne Mullin; Ken Calvert; Brad Wenstrup; Virginia Foxx; Ander Crenshaw; Phil Gingrey, M.D.; Rob Wittman; Ralph Hall; Roger Williams; John Campbell; Steve Stockman; Dan Benishek, M.D.; David Jolly; Ted Yoho, DVM; and Tim Griffin.
