I leave for Madang this Saturday to coordinate Marine Environment - TopicsExpress

I leave for Madang this Saturday to coordinate Marine Environment Education Training for 20 teachers at the St Theresias Sisters Convent in Alexishafen. The training will be facilitated by the Education Officer for Mahonia Na Dari, Adolphina Luvongit from the 23 to 26 September. It will consist of both theory and practical sessions. If all goes well and the training does take place, then it will be an historical event for a local group in Madang to partner with Mahonia Na Dari to facilitate this training. The outcome of this training will pave way for such trainings in the future. This is a new program MAKATA is introducing in Madang. The sustainability of this training also depends very much on long-term funding. We therefore appeal to potential donors, politicians and business houses to come to our aid. Building marine conservation ethics in students through their teachers and better still to them is a sustainable and long-term step towards achieving marine conservation and wise use of our natural resources outcomes.
