I like and respect strength, whether I am talking physical, mental - TopicsExpress

I like and respect strength, whether I am talking physical, mental or spiritual strength. Yesterday, I ended up at Exzel Fitness, which was hosting the SC IBP (Iron Boy Powerlifting) championship. My niece and nephews workout there and my son is a guest lifter at times. Ive been threatening to join but I dont handle criticism and teasing well. I knew one nephew was participating but was not sure of the others. Hate to sound too proud but Exzel won the team trophy and Jason won 1st place in something. His weight class maybe. I got there late so they were bench pressing. Then, I left early so missed the powerlifting which is my favorite. The contrast was amazing. Some came up and seemingly without effort pushed the bar into position. Others struggled but were triumphant. Then, some could not quite succeed. I am no expert, but I could tell that when the bar came down in a hurry, there was no way it was going back up without outside assistance. However, I was proud of every participant because they gave it a shot. That takes courage. I picked out my two favorites. I sound like a bad uncle, but my nephew was not one of them. My favorites were the loaders. Those guys handled more weight than any of the others. I bet their favorite words were and the weight stays the same. It was a fun afternoon.
