I listened in to BBC Radio 4 Start of the week - This week they had Naomi Klein on as one of the guests to talk about action on climate change. One thing I noticed a few times was whenever Naomi spoke about a moral imperative to challenge the status quo, the presenter Anne McElvoy quickly dismissed what she was saying - it seemed that having a moral discussion isnt really done in British broadcasting.. in favor of a more economic case for soft change in policies. I agree with what shes saying - there is a real clash of world views - and the clash needs to increase. She argues that Capitalism itself is the cause of continued and increasing climate change and we need a better system with social justice at its heart. You can listen again on the beeb
