I look for someone to be my light. To help raise my head and fight. For self respect and dignity and see the truth of who I am to be. I task and labor night and day Trying to find a better way The paths so many and goals are too But few match what feels right to do. At times I tag along and pray Is this path I see the way? In faith and blindness, do I trust The path below me shows no dust. Ahead I forge with nothing more Than goals and dreams at destinies door. Then I look back and start to see The road made by none other than me. Journeying on through roughs and mounds Having distraction upon my surrounds.
