I lost my last election to special interest money that poured into this district. Groups like the MEA, MSEA/SEIU and other union driven special interests groups and big liberal donors that spent like drunken sailors. As a matter of fact, my race was one of the most expensive and nasty house races in Maine history. I felt good about staying above the fray as my opponent ran his race fueled by hatred and vengeance and lies and deceit. They narrowly squeaked out a win (113 votes) after all of their efforts and all the money they spent. The result was, the unions and progressive liberal groups bought themselves a house seat and here is what we got for it.
