I lost my wife and soulmate, Su Johnson, just four weeks ago after a three and a half year battle with cancer. She passed here at the farm with me by her side. She loved watching the deer and birds out here. That night, as the van from the funeral home pulled into the long driveway, their headlights showed three deer standing up close to the house, as if to see her off. It had been cloudy all evening, but as they carried her to the van, a bright light lit up the field. I stepped off the porch to see what was going on and observed a full moon with one star, only one, shining down on the land. As the van drove away, taking my beloved with them, it seemed like all the clouds were pulled away, leaving the moon and the one star shining brightly in a clear sky. About ten minutes later, the rest of the stars started showing theirselves. I believe that my wife was giving me a sign that she had made it to the other side. Her youngest son witnessed this as well.
