I love happy endings! Did a home check for a black lab named Marlee who was a fearful dog and reached out to Sarah Hoddinott to help this new owner. Checked on how Marlee is doing and here is what her mom said: Marlee is doing great!! She has really come to life, shes like a new dog. All went fine with the heartworm treatment. In early September we went to the beach for a week and she LOVED it! She had a blast, her favorite activities were running in the water and chasing sand crabs. Marlee graduated from basic obedience class at 2SpeakDog a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the recommendation to go there, theyre fantastic. We also did a walking workshop with them last weekend and Im planning to continue on to the next level of training with her. Marlees also been going to daycare at DogServices, and I also like them. I think its been good for her to play with other dogs and they do play groups based on their activity level. She can still be shy and timid at times but she is not nearly as fearful as she was. Trains and trucks dont bother her unless theyre right next to her. Shes now running up to people and other dogs, and people often tell me how happy she looks. Its really remarkable how far shes come. A couple weeks ago we went apple picking at Carter Mountain and she loved it there and did great with all the people and kids coming up to her. Marlees mom had the patience, love and understanding for Marlee to become a wonderful companion!!
