I love how instrumentation choice can completely change a piece of music. Listening to Cromwells theme on BBC Radio 4s Womans Hour this morning played live by composer Debbie Wiseman on piano, went from the John Lewis version to the more oldie-worldie (technical term hehe) Tudor feel with the studio recording using rather staccato strings - both stunning versions, but have a listen and see what I mean :P Debbies score is going to be an absolute highlight of the forthcoming BBC film adaptation of Hilary Mantels Wolf Hall... excited! bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04xp15f
