I love it when someone talks sense! Thank you, Ed Wray. I would also add my own thoughts that the extreme mucking around with the BC Ferries schedules and service on this coast and the constant raising of fares, while ridership continues to drop, serves to sabotage the coastal tourism industry rather than support and strengthen it. My understanding is that Tourism is a leading revenue generator in BC, and that 40% of BCs tourism revenue is related to Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands! Is our tourism industry in BC being savaged, rather than promoted and supported, in order to render us more economically dependent and available to the plans of those few fat cats that are pushing for oil pipelines and tankers? And, Mr Harper, how extremely short-sighted is any plan to ship our raw resources directly off-shore with no real value-added and no long term sustainable plans for our grandchildren and for their grand childrens future?!
