I love words, and I love using words. I aspire to write, and have - TopicsExpress

I love words, and I love using words. I aspire to write, and have some talent, but also have a criteria if I am going to put the required effort write anything (I think is worth my time). The story, for starts, has to be edifying and entertaining. ( I say I write novels, not trite books). It has to be profound and I will put all my effort into one grand masterpiece otherwise I am not sure I will ever finish anything worthwhile. There are so many books, and we all have a flavor, but I am not looking to write an insipid story that sits on the shelf of your book pantry perpetually. I want it to be read with the season. I want it to be a voraciously consumed masterpiece, not some paltry peruse. I want a seasoned reader to pick it up perennially. I want my book to be used as a paragon so other writing talents can bloom. I want it taught to others so the next generation can put a new spin on my words and top them. I want my passion to be like blood you cant wash from your hands. The only story I will write is one that cannot be put down, and must be passed on to the next avid reader. The book has to be a legacy left. Not just a story, but worthwhile in some way. Its my standard. Not to say I will not write anything at all ever between now and destiny, in order to hone my skills and so i dont lose it because I dont use it, but the end I have in mind is prodigious. The book will most likely be a tragedy, and like all drama have some comic relief. It will the underlying tone of morality but not be sententious. It will be romantic, but not in a cloying way. It might branch off from an oliver twist to a rainbowed present, but never too lovey dovey. Though it might have a tide to flood your eyes with sentiments. It will be humanity, and everything humanity is, was, and ever will be. It will be full of literary prowess; whether I use the perfect word or paint a vivid picture in your head. The story may be drawn out, but wont be long and boring, rather it will be in terse detail. The story will be like a thought you have. It will be about light in darkness. Like lightning, the story will be striking as a life flashes before your eyes, but deep and profound, like the rumbling echo of thoughts it leaves behind.
