I swear I wanted to throw my tablet a few times because of the characters, but I love when a book could pull out emotions in you. This book is not a fairy tale, there is no HEA in THIS book, the writer pulls you into a love triangle from hell. Kerris has had a hard life, but has grown strong because of it. She is not afraid of hard work and works hard for what she has. She is not whiny or annoying, but extremely stubborn. I wanted to throw my tablet because of her!!! She meets and falls in love with the love of her life, so she thinks, until she meets Walsh. Walsh, I loved Walsh, so kind, generous, compassionate, strong, and the list goes on and on. I love this male lead. Mrs. Ryan did an amazing job of writing him!! Walsh sees Kerris from a distance and falls immediately in love with her, but soon finds out that Kerris has a boyfriend, his best friend Cam. Cam is a character is did not like. I couldnt understand why Kerris was with him, other than not being alone. Cam was possessive and insecure. I understood why he was like that, but at the same time it did not make me like him any. Overall, this was an wonderful read that had me at the first sentence and didnt let me go until the end. You root for the characters, yell at them, but love them all at once. Kennedy Ryan has done a great job for her first book and I cannot wait until the 2nd book comes out!!
