I made my outdoor cat shelter. I dont know where the guy in the video found a cooler that fit exactly inside the plastic tote because I couldnt. I put recycled cotton insulation in the air space around the styrofoam cooler. I couldnt find hay so I put some of that insulation in the floor of the styrofoam cooler and covered it with a section of fleece blanket. the insulation is soft but I thought a smart cat could also get under the blanket. I put duct tape around the lid of the plastic tote just to make sure there were no breezes is going in. total cost $20. it might save one or two cats this winter.
