I may have not accomplished everything in life that I have wanted to YET but I damn sure have accomplished a lot so far. I have taken the second chance I was given at adoption and I have made something out of myself. I am a loyal and loving companion to my wonderful boyfriend of almost 3 years, I am a mother to a beautiful healthy baby girl, and I am taking my book smarts and pushing it in college toward obtaining an associates degree in nursing. Thinking about what I was born into, my mother and I have made sure I did not and never will go down the same path as my blood. I only wish sometimes my birth mother could see me now to know that what it is she gave up turned into something successful, happy, and grateful. I am proof that you CAN break the cycle of the wrong life and that family does not always mean blood related.
