I mean no offense to anyone in sharing what Im sharing. I share hoping to create healthy conversations and to let folks see that there is so much we have in common, despite whatever many differences we have. I do not look at ferguson as a one off occurrence, or that its only about race. Its not. Its about seeing others different and treating them as lesser than. In every situation. There is no recognition of love. I feel and speak for all pain, for all beings. Im not so dreamy that I dont understand that there will be unavoidable pain, but wouldnt it be nice if we only (rarely) experienced natural disasters? I understand that each of us can choose a way to respond to everything in our worlds and avoid creating or experiencing pain through prejudice, hate and/or violence. Or being tired or hangry. I had to start my own work at that micro level! I have learned how to do an internal query to check in and have learned a lot about myself. I apply that lens to every thing than makes me react or retreat. I am looking more lovingly and patiently at my inner Lisa. This gentleness is passed on to the world. I want to encourage others interested in finding this for themselves. I believe that we can each do work to see how the world is connected. All these recent events may eventually be seen in the same light, no matter the issue. When we can look at every being as something we must care fiercely for, can you imagine what the world would be like? That we can apply empathy to every person and quietly and lovingly change the world... The posts I share are hopeful channels into useful and helpful conversations. I appreciate those that reach out to explain your perspective and expand mine. In a nutshell, friend, you are wonderful. Together, we each have perspectives to learn and talk about and work to truly understand. Thank you for continuing the conversation, and I promise to do my part.
