I meant to write this post Wednesday night, but life got in the way. But, I still want to comment on it. Its not often that I cry for positive reasons, but it happened on Wednesday night. I was called in to see the teen and senior company do a combo from contemporary - a combo they recently started. As I stood there watching, I could see the dancers hearts opening up. I could see how much they were enjoying themselves and the movement. I could see the love and respect for dance come out of them. There really isnt any other way to describe it. All of those long years of dedication, hard work, drilling, and training for them, and now I could see that they had become artists. And, I lost it! I tried to speak to them afterwards, but Im afraid that I blurted out a mess of words, but it was because I was crying tears of joy and gratitude. Seeing them dance that night, makes it all worth it to me. And, it also made me see that THEY also knew that it was all worth it. Im grateful to them, and Tiffany for her brilliant work, for dancing the way they did that night. It was a memorable moment for me and I hope that they keep that love and passion for movement and take these special memories with them wherever they go. Thank you, Teens and Seniors! You made my week!
