I might as well explain this one so people will know what its about. Lisa called our shelter in desperation after Chev was badly mauled. She had been calling veterinary offices and other rescues to try to find help for him. The vet offices would not see Chev without a boatload of money up front, and all the other rescues (rescues with actual vets on site) would offer was euthanasia. Were pretty broke over here, the light and gas bills a month behind, the rent due the first, but for us thats how it always goes. The cat was bleeding for us this was a no-brainer. What else are we here for, except to help cats? He needed lots of stitches and was bleeding, this couldnt have waited for his owners next paycheck. They are nice people and love their cat.
