I might as well let the cat out of the bag.. Some of you know - TopicsExpress

I might as well let the cat out of the bag.. Some of you know when I was younger that I studied boxing for a little bit. Incidentally, my life took my efforts elsewhere. While I have no regrets, I have a had a void in my heart for many years that I havent been able to shake.. Well, Ive decided that for the first time in a long time, Im going to do something about that. Im going to do something not for accolades, acceptance, pats on the back, or to pursue a new branch of my career.. but merely for ME. I want to challenge myself, and see if I can really rise to it and live it... So for the last little bit, Ive been in my main gym... getting my cardio up, and getting myself into some semblance of shape, and I have found the boxing gym (and the trainer) that I want to work with. The gym is called East Coast Boxing, and the gentleman in question is Mr. Alex Huggins. Alex is not only one multi-styled, proficient fighter, but has one superior attitude. I cant begin to tell you how good it made me feel to speak with someone who immediately got me, and was willing to not only work with me, but to utilize the heart that I have for the sport, and my desire to get back into it. Alex warmed up to me like wed been friends for years, and inside our first conversation, he was already being motivational and encouraging... treating me like family.. And thats what makes for good experiences in boxing, and in life. Id encourage any of you in the region whod like to learn boxing, kickboxing, MMA, or who just want a serious, no-bullshit workout and conditioning to check out East Coast Boxing. And should you wind up wanting to talk training with Alex, tell him that I sent you... But keep in mind.. This aint Title Boxing Punch Fitness, or one of the aerobic clubs masquerading as a boxing gym.. This is the real deal. To share a funny anecdote with you all.. Alex mentioned only going hard on the ones who have the heart, and wanting to get me right real fast.. The next two exchanges are priceless: ME: Man, keep in mind that I am no spring chicken, brother! ....But I have a hell of a heart! ALEX: The heart is whats gonna pull you through the workout, my man... A spring chicken dont stand a chance against an angry rooster! Thanks, Alex.. Ill be seeing you soon, brother. Cheers!
