I need advice. Christians school is going to be offering a dual language program next year. I dont have all the info and dont know if he could do it but if I can I am trying to determine if I should. It is NOT an esl program or a class targeting non English speakers primarily. It is for native English speakers as well and will be teaching the kids using both spanish and English. At first glance I was all for it but I need to decide if its a good idea. Christian is advanced in math and reading so I am concerned switching to a program partially taught in another language may set him back where I would rather keep up his momentum. On tge other hand, the added challenge may help him. Another issue is the program is hosted at a different school. So he will have to switch. Im tryimg to weigh the good and bad here so please share ANY thoughts either for or against this. I want my son to speak Spanish fluently so this seems like a good fit for what I want but this its not about ME, its what is beat for HIM that matters. he doest show a ton of interest in learning the 2nd language right now.
