I need some help for one of my labs. He is allergic to something, has all the classic signs, digging at his mouth and chewing/licking his paws. Heres the history, 5 months ago i took him to the vet where they looked in his ears stuck him with what I assume was an anti-allergy shot if some sort then sent me home with allergy pill to take for 2 weeks, that was it. Couldnt Evan suggest what it was so I couldnt try to eliminate it, but said not to worry because after a couple days on those pills he should be better. If he had a flare up just give him a few days worth of pills. So after a month of these pills and no relieve I turned to you guys that suggested it maybe his food. As if today we have eliminated wheat, corn, glucose, chicken, and lactose from his diet. Poor guy do you have any idea how hard it is to find treat for dogs with allergies when you live in a town with no pet stores. BUT hes still digging and chewing. Im running out of things to take away, what else can he possibility be allergic too? It breaks my heart to see him chew the way he does. There has to be help out there!!!
