I need some input! Not looking for any drama, I am just worried - TopicsExpress

I need some input! Not looking for any drama, I am just worried sick about my Dal Blaze. He is very sick. Thursday night he started eating grass and I left him outside in the fenced yard while I worked outside. He somehow got the day lilies through the back privacy fence and ate a bunch of them. He immediately threw them up. He came inside ate his dinner, threw that up along with another big bunch of lilie leaves. As the night went on you could tell he wasnt feeling well at all. We looked on the web to see if the lilies were poisonous to dogs. At that time we didnt know they were day lilies. The information online was incomplete so we didnt know what was correct. I called and left a message for the vet. Blaze continued to throw up all night. Friday morning I called and took him in. They checked kidney function which was ok and he wasnt dehydrated yet. Also did an abdominal xray to check if he had an obstruction and he didnt see anything. They sent us home with orders to with hold food till he wasnt throwing up. Saturday morning he wouldnt even get up. I took him in and he had lost a pound as well so the vet kept him over the long weekend and Blaze received iv fluids, antibiotic injection, and another med for nausea. Monday evening he had not thrown up all day so they fed him some Hills I/D. He kept that down along with water so they let him come home Tuesday afternoon on sucralfate and pepcid along with Hills i/d food. He was still a little lethargic but nowhere near what he was. He was so happy to be home and interacted with the kids and cats. He took his meds ok and ate some but not the 1/2 can like I was directed to give him. By the end of the night he was acting more lethargic. I stayed up till 1am to give him his next dose of meds he took it and went out to pee. I got up at 630 to two puddles of vomit. It contained his food he ate at 8pm. He could barely lift his head he was so fatigued, I called the vet and got him in right away. They did another xray (soon as Blaze eats everything) and ran some blood tests. One came back normal the other had to be sent out so I wont get the results back for a couple of days. He sent us home told me to hold his food till tonight and give the two meds without any food at all to be sure they coat the stomach. He has been drinking but it comes right back up. He just vomited a large amount of greenish fluid and it smelled awful. Im worried he has an obstruction in his GI tract. I used to be a CNA in a nursing home and witnessed a resident with an obstruction vomit fecal matter. (the most disgusting thing I have ever seen). The smell of Blazes vomit reminds me of that it smells like poop. Has anyones dal ever ate lilies? Has anyones dal (or other dog for that matter) had an obstruction from eating something they shouldnt? If yes, what were their signs/symptoms? I dont want to lose my fur baby. Watching him makes me so sad. He has lost 3 pounds and is so lethargic. He just lays on his blanket looking at me. edited to add: I forgot to mention that the night before he ate the lilies he had thrown up his food and my husband said he had noticed pieces of plastic and stuffing in his poop (he scoops the yard Blaze eats anything and everything so we try to make sure everything is picked up but with kids its next to impossible sometimes.
