I need to crawl into your solitude The place where your gaze falls - TopicsExpress

I need to crawl into your solitude The place where your gaze falls while contemplating deep things, let me rest there Let me find the place between closing your eyes and living your dream The place between where I learned your name and the smile that followed Let me see the world anew, the way you see it My lenses are covered with fog and smoke Some days I feel so tired but I never know why Perhaps it’s the longing that drains me Perhaps the clouds of my life block an energizing sun I want to see the end, put my mind at peace But no one can see the winding road’s end If only I could traverse it with you The journey is less daunting when someone walks beside you I am cold but the warmth of your naked gaze warms me Your vulnerability is like a lake kissed by the sun And if ever the water should grow cloudy with doubt I will reach from beyond the haze to find your hand I will be there until the lake bed settles again When I first saw your face I could not have known you were deep enough to swim in Time found me wading in your waters in no time at all To my surprise I was buoyant You rocked me on your waves though I was miles from the shore I found a new home in my drenched skin I never knew water could fold like a blanket Never knew it to be so inviting
