I noticed a couple posts about fund raising and I did share this idea with one person here privately but I decided I wanted to share with the rest of you that might be interested on something that has worked for my wife and I to raise money to help pay our agency fees. We have received a lot of support from many friends and our church. But one huge winner for us believe it or not is collecting and reselling scrap metal!! Scrap metal is EVERYWHERE!! People love to get it off their property and out of their life. All you have to do is go get it and haul it to the scrap yard. Metal laying around on farms, old dead cars, aluminum cans along the side of the road, and my personal favorite....Copper pipe from house renovations! We have raised a ton of money just from this. It is super easy and you just have to get the word out and let people know you will clear this stuff out and they will line up wanting to give it away. So hopefully you have a pickup truck and even a trailer too! Get the word out that you are collecting it and reselling it for your fund. It might start out slow but just keep at it! It is also great for the environment as well! I could almost make a full time job out of this....seriously haha
