I often read people critiquing their work or the work of others. I have a story to share... My grandmother made beautiful doilies. As her eyesight got worse some of these doilies ended up being made with slightly different shades of white, etc. To this date, 16 years later, the most priceless items I have in her memory are her doilies. I just found out that my younger sister has none of our grandmothers handy work. I realized while thinking about sharing some of my wealth with my sister that it is some of those pieces that reflect her passion beyond her ability to produce perfection that I will have the most difficult parting with. Quilt with passion and love. The recipients will look at your work and remember that. Perfection is reserved for store boughten and mass produced.
