I owe somewhere around $1,000 still on vet bills. For those who are new (a lot of new folks added recently) I take responsibility for animals either stray or owner dumped or families who simply cant afford an emergency... Peanut was found last yr (october) in a gutter. She had symptoms of distemper. 1300.00 later she is healthy and was adopted. She was paid off thanks to a lot of help from the animal loving community. Sweetie was hit by a car in front of the vets office. I took her on. She had a shattered femur and broken pelvis...2800.00 later she was healing and adopted. She was paid off thanks to a lot of help from the animal lovers among us. Cali was sick and near death in our local shelter. There is no funding for vetting so she went on my account. 300.00 later a rescue took her on. She was paid off thanks to the help of a couple very kind donors. Lucas was another shelter dog...He was highly stressed in the shelter and was to be put down due to his extreme anxiety. I boarded him at the vet, got him altered and vaccinated and he was rescued and adopted shortly after. He cost a couple hundred to save. His expenses were assisted by donations. Then there was Jenny...She was found stray. Her leg was broken, she had been shot in the belly, and something had attacked her and tore up her head... Jenny was boarded and vetted costing close to 800.00. Jenny went to 2 lore vets and cost significantly more after she was rescued. Most of her bills were covered by donations. I jist recently finished paying her bill off. Then there was Cisco... He had parvo. Badly. He nearly died amd over a week he was touch and go. He survived thankfully. But I am still paying his 2000.00 bill off (I believe 400 is left on his bill) Then my neighbor called me. Her little dog was dying. Her blood sigar dropped and she was near death. She survived but there is an 800.00 bill. My neighbor was in a very toght spot and she was having her own major medical issue so I did what was right. While they are fully intending to pay that bill the vet needs to be paid and I can not help other animals without getting it paid. A mother dog and her babies doed from easily treated parvo because I cant afford more and there is little help coming into the vet. My vet has a fund raising box specifically for these sorts of animals. Likewise anyone can call and donate directly to my account for homeless animals. This helps strays AND shelter animals in need. We live in a fairly poor community. I do what I can but without help that is very limited. If you are able to spare even a dollar it would be greatly appreciated. I prefer funds go directly to the vet because I want folks to know those funds are going only to the animals. Contact Cal City Pet Clinic at 760 373 7387 Please be aware I am NOT a rescue, just a person trying to assist. Feel free to confirm what I do with the vet, as well! Thank you for any help toward these needy animals. They dont get much help way out here as we are very rural.
