I personally hate the thought of a Yes splitting the UK, but all - TopicsExpress

I personally hate the thought of a Yes splitting the UK, but all of the nonsense coming from the business/financial sector about costs/prices is so much bunkum, except for the point made by Vince Cable about the size of RBS and its need for a central bank lender-of-last-resort capable of underpinning it adequately. Business in the 2010s is transacted globally, locally, across borders, across continents. Ask retailers in Newry and Dundalk. Or securities brokers in London and Shanghai. A new border between Carlisle and Lockerbie, should it - sadly - be drawn, will not derail the economy on either side.
