THOSE goals were far too small, and fail to support dispersal to remaining historical suitable habitat, result in numbers that leave the population vulnerable to catastrophic occurrences, inbreeding depression, and other factors leading small populatinos once again to extinction. THere are many other reasons which you might mention about unscientific state management, but important is that NO state is managing wolves to restore safe numbers for their survival, and thus ALL areas, INCLUDINGNorthern ROckies Population Segment, and Upper Great Lakes Population Segment, MUST be returned to USFWS management and oversight undre ESA, as state killing has reduced wolf numbers by 25% to 33% in just two to 3 years. This is a recipe for extinction, which is against the will of the majority of Americans, and utterly contrary to the intent of the Endangered Species Act, . By allowing this state management killing wolves are prevented from reestablishing ecologically effective populations, which have now been shown to benefit many species, from migratory birds to Pronghorn, and reforestation. WIthout the Wolf, our natural native ecosystems are impoverished to an extent that will cause further wholesale extinction, erosion, and ecological collapse. . Relist ALL wolves under ESA in the lower 48 states..
