I pray that everyone is having a great day. This is just an early reminder that we will be doing a collective financial fast again in January. The theme will again be, 21-Day Financial Fast to Prosperity. There will be a tentative added focus on: 1.) Supporting local and minority owned businesses (All inclusive!) 2.) Learning how to coupon without it consuming your lives Tene Darby is our resident couponing expert..sorry to put you on the spot without warning sis!) 3.) Budgeting, Budgeting, Budgeting (We will be tasked to complete our own comprehensive budget for the year) 4.) Saving (We will set personal goals for saving. Whether its a set dollar amount, or a percentage of our take home, we will make saving a priority in 2015. It can be as small as $5 or as big as your pocket can manage) 5.) Retirement ( M Marvelous Hard....be on deck. You give great retirement advice and we would appreciate your involvement in this and others aspects of the fast) I say that this list is tentative, because Im sure that many will have additional focuses to add throughout the month. I think that I will keep the fast page open throughout the entire year so that we can encourage one another throughout its progression. Im giving an early, pre-Christmas warning/reminder to prepare you. Remember that the fast entails ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPENDING on any items that arent necessities. No eating out, no buying clothes, shoes, NOTHING whatsoever for 21 days. Are you ready???
