I predict youre going to hear people bash the movie NOAH. I saw it last night and personally believe it is a reverent masterpiece. While assembled by imperfect human hands, it depicts a fictional world that likely reflects ancient reality closer than we like to convey in our childrens books. Is it verbatim from scripture? No, but neither is Michelangelos painting on the ceiling of the Sistine chapel... And this movie is no less a beautiful work of art. Art created by flawed human beings that have managed to represent truths about my Creator in ways Ive never been able to perceive before. I recommend everyone see this movie and be mindful not to write it off before its over. It will blindside you with fantastical jolts that, while surreal, are ultimately faithful to the scriptures while meeting the inescapable Hollywood requirements of a screenplay that can hold your attention. This is a forest movie. Dont let the trees blind you.
