I promise that I will give my everything to teaching; that I will not have a social life, except during the part of my holidays that I dont spend working so that I can catch up with the work because of the bad time management that I admit to having; that I will not hold or express any opinion about anything that goes against the opinion of the headteacher, governing body, religious cult or business that runs my academy chain or the government of the day; that I will not strike for any reason; that I will plan lessons in triplicate and accept changing standards which are written by people who have not entered a classroom other than to observe people for that last five years minimum; that I will not be sick and if I am will struggle on and avoid making doctors appointments, hospital appointments, dental appointments or appointments with specialists during work time; that I will display perfect behaviour in public at all times; that when I am bad-,mouthed by children, parents or the leadership team, I will not retaliate in any way and that I shall be the perfect automaton who never reacts negatively to anything in any way because that will make me a stick in the mud or resistant to change; that I will not show human reactions to children under any circumstances; and, that I will accept all changes imposed on me from any of the layers above internally and externally, unquestioningly and with good humour.
