I rarely put comments on here but after reading this today I felt this was worthy of sharing. This message was from someone on the outside looking in and it says a lot about what kind of country we are becoming. When I was growing up this message was a way of life. Everyone was respectful of our President and leaders regardless of their personal beliefs. It was fine to disagree but be respectful that others might just have a different opinion. It is so sad that this is what weve become. Whether its because social media has given so many a pulpit in which to complain, criticize and condemn or it is what weve become as a people. I think perhaps the fact that 85% of Americans do not attend or participate in any church has some impact on that. We as Americans need to wake up and understand that just because someone has a different opinion on something does not make them better or worse than any other person. Instead of saying something negative perhaps we need to begin finding a positive viewpoint to express. We need to challenge those around us to make the change today and become better citizens. Lets put respect back in the forefront of everything we do or say. Enough said, read the letter and spend some time really contemplating the real message it provides.
