I read Jonathan Weltons Raptureless some time back and in some - TopicsExpress

I read Jonathan Weltons Raptureless some time back and in some ways it rocked my world because he completely unravels most doctrine about end-times, the end of the world and the rapture. But even though it rocks standard doctrine, it was like stepping foot for the first time on solid, peaceful ground for me. It uncovered the secret doubts I had carried for years regarding end-time doctrine and gave me long awaited resolution. Even as a child sleeping under the pews, the rapture didnt add up. The end of the world didnt fit the God I knew. The doctrines are erratic and destructive and full of dire warnings of horrific happenings and underlying threats of being left behind. It finds conspiracies in every corner of our world and makes Christians look like pessimistic lunatics with little hope for even themselves when they talk about Rapture on the one hand but hoard guns and canned goods on the other. Most of my life I searched for the key that would make it all click finally. And Father God allowed Jonathan to find it. How it makes me smile that it was simple history hidden in plain sight and not complicated at all. Stepping over this obstacle opened a new level of freedom from fear for me. No more doom, gloom and destruction. Now I only see the Kingdom of God coming to Earth. And its happening right here and right now. Many Christians dont recognize it because it looks so wonderful. We were taught to look for destruction rather than resurrection. But that is changing. raptureless/
