I read something in the paper today that disturbed me! A Minister spoke on Forgiveness . He said I quote: With sin in your life, God turns his back on you ...With forgiveness, God turns his back on your past! Paul said in Rom 5: 8 (6,7) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinning, Christ died for us! So how is it that God turns his back on his children? I know Jesus said one time God doesnt hear sinners..But beloved that was before his death , of which Paul spoke. What about the sins we commit after coming to Christ? Does God turn his back on us when we fail? No Beloved, Gods love covers the Multitude of sins. He forgives , past, present, and future sins . If he did not we would have no chance! I will never leave you or forsake you...God forgives us of all sin ...What part of All do we not understand! Should we continue to sin because God forgives All sins?...How can we love God back and appreciate what he has done for us...And not, put forth every effort to not sin? The balance here , is Gods Love to us...And our Love, back to God! As an aside, when God forgives he forgets ! What a different world it would be if we had that kind of forgiveness! How does God see Christians? As Paul said in Col... Christ in you the hope of glory...If you have Christ in you...What does God see in you? A sinner...Or a forgiven,Son or Daughter whom he loves as Jesus? Another Thought!
