I realize how important communication is in times like these. Communication, however, is not assured by phones, internet, texting, radio and the like. They are just tools. The real primary communicator is the human person. No tool, no matter how high tech and no matter how endowed with speed and precision, will make up for the lack of communication skills of people on the ground. Feeling a bit frustrated that my questions remain unaddressed by the responders who give me messages alright, but not responses to important questions. There is a lot of meta-communication going on, exactly like in the case of our showbiz government who do heck of a lot of presscons, press releases, live interviews and bombastic speeches without really addressing the real issues of people on the ground. Showbiz has definitely overtaken the arena of public service, and the two giant networks foundations hog primetime news to tell the world how good, generous, and humane their media network is, never mind if what they give, come not from the network itself, but from the largesse of private individuals who care enough to give help to those who need it.
