I realize we are breaking for Thanksgiving and I also realize all cohorts rocked the Thanksgiving baskets this past week, but I would like to ask for your kindness one more time. I volunteer for Camelia Home Health and Hospice. I was asked by their volunteer coordinator, Ashley Sneed (you can find her under my friends), if I could organize a food/basic necessities drive at USM. Unfortunately, two other organizations at the school have already requested food drives, therefore we cannot run an official drive. I am asking all of you, therefore, to please assist me in collecting items for the elderly (and other hospice patients) who are in great need. I will attach a brief description provided to all volunteers from Camelia. They are in need of food items and basic necessities such as soap and shampoo. Anything you donate, however, will gladly be accepted. I am thinking warm socks, blankets, lotions, etc. If you could please bring any items to the school, I will gladly fill my car to the brim and deliver it all! I am on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays, but can meet you at your convenience as well! I would like to deliver the goodies on Wednesday, December 10th, so please bring what you can by TUESDAY, December 9th. Thank you so much, and have a great Thanksgiving break!!
