I really dont know why everyone is so against this series. Yeah, its a technical remake, which us fan of originals all hate. But, its also a prequel and extension of the movie and characters, and its being done by Robert Rodriguez himself. Its not like Michael Bay came along, bought the rights, and remade it with more CGI than necessary. If that were the case, Id be against it. But, its not. Realistically, like everything else that comes out, its a coin toss. It could either be really cool, or totally suck (and really depends on the individuals preference. Im honestly willing to bet someone out there will utter the words Twilight was better than this! But chances are I wouldnt agree with that persons opinion, anyway.) I gotta give it a chance, though. Ive been a fan of the movie and especially of the Gecko brothers since the movie was released. And now we have the chance to delve deeper into their characters. Why not just wait for it to come out, and then pass judgment on it? To prejudge something as well, this is crap and will suck is just silly to me. And if it does suck, Ill be the first one to come back and say so. Machete Kills was a mess compared to the original Machete, so I definitely think Rodriguez is just like every other human being on this planet and is capable of making a mistake. But at least I can say I gave them the chance. Lets hope for the best instead of just naturally expecting the absolute worst.
