I really wish people would stop pressuring me to go back to school. I love that you want to encourage me to be the best I can be, but all it does is stress me out. It makes me feel like right now, Im not good enough for you. And the only way you will see me as a successful individual is if I get a degree. Yes, I realize that by receiving a magical piece of paper I will have more job opportunities and I will become more stable financially. But are my success and intelligence really only measured by my ability to push my way through schooling? Like, Im happy for everyone who got their degrees. I agree it is a major accomplishment and it is something to be proud of. But right now, school isnt for me. I dont need you to try to negotiate with me or bribe me. I need you to support my decision, as wrong as you may think it is.
