I receive a lot of messages from people asking me what my typical day is like workout and nutrition wise so I thought Id share today. *Disclaimer: this is what works for me and certainly isnt the be all and end all approach* Up at 4am 5am: Protein shake made with water, 1c spinach and 1T peanut butter 8am: Scrambled egg whites, asparagus, 2 slices Ezekiel bread 11:30am: Sweet potato, grilled chicken and a salad 3pm: Greek yogurt + a handful of granola 5pm/preworkout: protein shake made with unsweetened almond milk 7pm: Chicken and veggies Youll notice a few things: - I have my carbs set relatively low right now because Ive found that Im much happier when I keep carbs around 75g/day - I dont combine fat and carbs in a meal. One or the other, but not both (unless it is a refeed meal) - I eat a TON of protein - I dont eat carbs pre workout. This is a change I made a few wks ago. Ive found that my workouts are actually better and I have more energy without carbs in my system. This is what Ive found works for me... right now :) Trained back and hamstrings today and finished with 15min HIIT. I do cardio 4-5x a week and it is almost always HIIT. Im not a fan of steady state cardio :)
