I received a particularity interesting message the other night - TopicsExpress

I received a particularity interesting message the other night that I thought I would share with you guys... Someone was extremely upset that I was only giving away one hoodie for a giveaway when I was clearly a large corporation that produced thousands of hoodies per year. While I was flattered that they thought my business was that large, it hit me that many customers and people stopping by may not realize that I am only one person running Love & War Clothing. I am no stranger to receiving not so friendly emails from customers wondering why their is such a long turnaround time in place and where their order is. My best response to this question is... I handle all of the emails/messages, I create my own designs, I hand make each item (yes I even create the bows and glitter the tumblers by hand!), I order supplies, I do inventory and I have to clean up the many messes I make, I do the marketing and I do the shipping by myself. All on top of running a normal household. I do not have a 9 to 5 job. It begins when I open my eyes to when they close and I have basically given up my social life + freedom to run this business. (* I would like to note that I have an amazing friend & my husband who both help out when they can) I may not respond to emails on the weekend because I need some rest time with my husband who has patiently waited to hit play on a movie on more than one occasion over the past two years while I yell from the other room just one more email babe! - I am always thinking about ways to better my business and shorten my turnaround time - to connect with my customers better and to help understand and take care of their (your) needs. If I could have it my way, orders would be completed the next business day and shipped but it is impossible with all of the styles, prints and customizations I offer. My turnaround time from the outside perspective may seem ludicrous but from the inside, it is barely just enough time for me to catch my breath before I start the next batch of orders when the order volume is high. Most of the many amazing people I come in contact with understand this and for that I am truly truly grateful for - I am in love with my job and the things I am able to create every day. I feel flattered when someone makes a purchase and I enjoy seeing my work on customers - for this reason alone I will never give up what I do. I also want to thank everyone who contacted me earlier today in regards to the modeling/photography/part time help. This is a big step in the right direction for this company + a few others I have been working on and I only hope that it will be the start to some fantastic new things :-) If you have a question or just need to talk, dont be a stranger. My email is always just a click away - loveandwarclothing@rocketmail Thank you so much! Samantha
