I received a very disappointing news from one of my clients today... He told me a cobroke agent attempted to undercut me. While I do understand that this undercutting practice do happens (luckily not common), what I cannot believe is its done by a friend of mine (I regarded him as a friend). I only shared his name with 2 of my closest real estate course mates turned friends as I do not wish to cause his practice termination. I treasure integrity and honesty a lot. If we lost this, we have lost ourselves. I am glad my client informed me about this incident. I may have lost a cobroke agent friend, but he probably not only lost a deal (my client does not wish to deal with him), a friend and probably a few other real estate friends. But I am still very glad that I have made a lot of very sincere agent friends, from my team or from other agencies. We really treasure this kind of friendships in this challenging environment!
