I recently met a young(27) professional woman who doesnt seem to agree with the blood is thicker than water adage. *Dineos parents divorced when she was about 4,too young to even understand what was happening.After the divorce she stayed with his father,who later remarried and gave Disebo a half-brother and a sister.And she says theirs was a normal family,and her step-mother a wonderful woman. And then trouble started when she was a teenager(18),her dad,a high ranking govt official,started a relationship with her secretary,openly walking with her at public places for everyone to see.And soon wifey and the kids,especially Disebo as she was older,got to know about the relationship,and a child was born soon afterwards. In the ensuing matrimonial difficulties,Disebo firmly joined her step-mothers side,to the extent that she moved out of the house,never to return,very angry with her father.Wow! I asked her,you never felt any animosity towards your step-mom for stealing your dad from your mom? No,and she continued,I was very young,and I dont know what happened,my mother said things,but my step-mother is a very nice woman,and she never treated me badly,not even once,and she does not diserve what my father is doing to her! Sho!So Disebo,once in while,she meets with her step-mom and siblings at the Malls for lunch and shopping,but as for his dad,theyve reached a cul-de-sac. Isnt she a sober-minded young woman friends?I mean,in situations like these,most Disebos simply listen to what their mothers say,which is always horror movies,and end up missing out on the sweet step-mothers because theyve been told things they dont know and acted on them?#
